GWINNETT, GA. – The Continental Athletic Conference announced earlier today that Fisher College sophomore Vance Serrano (Las Vegas, Nev.) was once again named the conference's Pitcher of the Week for Baseball. The right-hander was selected for the second time this season after being chosen as the CAC Pitcher of the Week on March 27.

Serrano was instrumental in guiding the Falcons to an important 4-1 week as the team picked up a win over Northern Vermont University – Lyndon and three wins over Bryant & Stratton College -Albany. Two of those wins against BSC-Albany, Serrano played a key factor in securing the victories that put the Falcons at 19-13 overall on the season.

The Las Vegas native nailed the door shut in the thrilling 13-12 come-from-behind victory over the Bobcats on Saturday afternoon. After seeing the lead disappear in the sixth, the Falcons railed to the take the one run lead in the top of the seventh before handing the ball to Serrano. The sophomore did not disappoint as he faced just three batters in notching his first career save in pinstripes.

On Sunday, the right-hander got the ball to start game two and pitched the team to a 2-1 victory to take the weekend series. Serrano tossed a complete game (7 innings) allowing just the one run on seven hits and striking out four.

For the week, Serrano was 1-0-1 (win-loss-save) with a 1.13 ERA and five strikeouts.
