Falcons Downed by Dolphins 66-54

Riverdale, New York – The Fisher College men's basketball team fell to the Dolphins of the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Tuesday evening.  The Falcons fall to 1-1 on the season with the 66-54 loss to CMSV.

 

Fisher took their only lead of the game when Darrell Grady hit a 3-point shot to put the Falcons up 3-2 with just a minute and a half played in the game.  CMSV put up five points before Fisher added two on free throws by Cooper Neal.  The Dolphins continued to hold the lead and finished the first half up 40-30 over the Falcons.

 

The second half was similar to the first half with CMSV remained on top of the Falcons.  Nearing the end of the game, the Falcons went on an eight point run to bring them within five points of the Dolphins.  The Dolphins closed out the game taking the victory 66-54.

 

Although defeated, Kyle Holmes led the Falcons on the court with a double-double, 18 points and 10 rebounds.  Three other key Falcon shooters scored in double digits including Brodric Smith (12 points, 7 rebounds), Neal (11 points, 9 rebounds), and Grady (10 points, 4 rebounds). 

 

The Falcons will return to action on Thursday, November 17 when they head across the Charles River to take on Ivy League school Harvard University.  Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. with live stats and video available.
