Nashua – Every Daniel Webster player that touched the floor got into the scoring column and senior Ray Farmer (Nashua) became the 12th all-time and final Eagle to reach the 1,000-point plateau as part of a 76-69 victory in a men's basketball NCAA-NAIA crossover matchup Tuesday night at Mario Vagge Gymnasium.

Jaquan Harrison (Windsor, Conn.) posted a team-high 16 points off the bench and added nine rebounds, and Jared Harrington (Upper Marlboro, Md.) netted 13 points with a game-best seven assists as the Eagles (7-1) bested the Falcons (7-4) for the first (and last) time in the series history dating back to 2002, spanning seven total contests.

Angelo Adon (Silver Spring, Md.) was the only other Eagle to reach double figures, finishing with 11 points. Marquise Caudill (Windsor) pulled in seven boards to go with four assists and four points.
Farmer finished with five points and five rebounds. Entering the game with 998 career points, he reached the millennium mark on a layup that went for a three-point play with 1:28 remaining in the first half. 

The Eagles are off until next Wednesday when they head up to Durham to take on the University of New Hampshire in a first-ever meeting that will be broadcast live on ESPN3. Tipoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. and marks the sixth Division I opponent for the program in the past five seasons and first non-Ivy League opponent in the group.

Fisher was paced by a game-high 24 points from Kyle Holmes (Hampden, Conn,), while Cooper Neal (Fresno, Cal.) posted 13 with eight rebounds. Brodric Smith (Los Angeles, Cal.) just missed a double with 10 points and nine boards, while DeAndre Pennington (Columbia, Mo.) added 10 points. Roger Hamel (Huntington Beach, Cal.) chipped in with eight points.

DWC led 34-28 at the half and for a time in the second, looked like they would run the Falcons out of the building. The Eagles raced to a 17-point lead over the opening seven minutes before a near disastrous squandering was only averted in the final two minutes.

The Eagles opened the second with a 16-5 spurt, converting on eight of their first 10 shots which included threes from both Adon and Harrington followed by a nasty dunk from Caudill that came off a Farmer steal.

Another Adon trey and a Harrison jumper matched the largest lead to make it 55-38 with 13:14 left, and DWC still held a 14-point edge as late as the 9:50 mark after a Harrington layup.
But in what seemed like the blink of an eye everything suddenly turned south. DWC missed on three straight shots and committed three turnovers and the Falcons took advantage.

Layups from Hamel and Holmes trimmed the deficit to eight and later a Neal three-point play followed by a pair at the line from Smith capped an 11-0 run covering just 2:39 for a 61-58 score at the 7:11 mark.

Freebies from Tommy Organ (Moorestown, N.J.) and Michael Campbell (Mt. Vernon, N.Y.) followed by a three from Adon got the lead back to nine (67-58) at the five-minute mark. But Fisher again responded, this time sparked by three Eagle misfires and a pair of turnovers to go with a Darrell Grady (Staten Island, N.Y.) layup and a Neal jumper with 2:42 left that pulled the visitors within two at 67-65. 

Eagle forward Mikol Blake Green (Boston, Mass.) and Pennington would trade baskets for a 69-67 game just before the two-minute mark but a Blake Green free throw, a Fisher miss, and a Harrington layup with 1:07 left, pushed the lead back to five.

Holmes went inside to draw and sink two with 33 ticks on the clock for a 72-69 game, but Farmer and Harrington combined to go 4 for 4 at the line and Fisher misfired on its final two attempts from deep to preserve the Eagle win.

DWC, which shot 44-percent in the night, finished with a 46-39 advantage on the boards (15-11 offensive) and dominated scoring both in the paint (51-34) and on the break (13-6). As has been the usual this year, it was the Eagles deep bench that was a difference maker. DWC finished with a 36-8 advantage from its non-starters.

The Falcons hit the court again on Thursday, December 15 when they play host to the University of Maine at Fort Kent.  Tip-off at the Fecteau-Leary Gymnasium is slated for 5:00 p.m.
