
Lynn, Mass. – Fisher College's men's basketball team drops to 5-10 on the season after dropping their contest to the University of Maine at Presque Isle 80-72. The Owls improve to 4-5 with their victory over the Falcons.
Fisher had a slow start, finding themselves down 5-0 to start game. After layups from Brandon Rembert and Kyle Snowden, they cut the lead down to 1. Joshua Graetz made another layup to put the Falcons up 8-7 for their first lead of the game. Jamontay Thompson expanded the lead with a layup to put Fisher up by three, 10-7. UMPI quickly made a 3-point shot to knot the game at 10-10.
UMPI continued to hold the lead heading into the halftime break up 27-24 over Fisher.
The Owls continued to hold their lead throughout the second half securing their 80-72 victory over the Falcons.
Thompson led the Falcons off the bench with 24 points and 6 boards. Rembert added 13 points in the loss while DeAndre Pennington added 9 points and 5 rebounds. Kevin Collins added a game-high 28 points for the Owls with six 3-pointers made.
Fisher will return to action when they head to Bennington, Vermont where they will take on Southern Vermont College at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13.
