Lumpkins Leads Falcons To A Second Straight Victory

Lynn, MA- Junior Jhalen Lumpkins (Sacramento, CA) led all Falcons (2-1) with 17 points to lead his team to their second straight win, a win over of University of Maine-Machias, 77-61.

The Falcons never trailed in this one as the team jumped out to an 11-0 lead after Ville Milan (Turku, Finland) hit his second three pointer in just two minutes of play, forcing the Clippers to call an early time out.  Fisher outshot the Clippers in the first half, and held their opponent to just 35% shooting, while the defense caused six turnovers to take a 10-point lead into the locker room at halftime.

Fisher continued the defensive pressure in the second half, forcing another eight Clipper turnovers to discourage the visitors.  The Falcons shot just 40% in the second half but it was enough to put Machias away. Abrian Dickson (Indian Wells, AZ) led all Falcons in the second half with eight points, including two 3-pointers to ignite his squad to the win.  It was a great team effort all around as 10 different Falcons scored on the night, with Lumpkins, Milan, Brandon Rembert (Camden, NJ) and Giovanni Thompson (Kissimmee, FL) all scored in double figures.  Anthony Lewis (Lodi, CA) led the way under the basket, grabbing eight rebounds for Fisher.

Fisher will look to make it three in a row as they open up their conference schedule tomorrow evening at Green Mountain College at 7pm.
