BOSTON, MASS. – The Fisher College Men's Basketball team couldn't overcome a slow start as they dropped a non-conference contest to visiting University of Maine-Fort Kent, 70-56 on Senior Day inside the Windsor Gymnasium. The loss slides the Falcons overall record to 15-11 on the season while the Bengals up their record to 9-18.

Prior to the start of the game, the College and the Men's Basketball program honored the 2020 class of ten student-athletes in a ceremony with their families. The 2020 class has earned the program 55 wins over their four years along with appearances in the Association of Independent Institutions Tournament (2016) and the Northeastern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship game (2019).

Senior Jhalen Lumpkins (Sacramento, Calif.) registered a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead the way for the Falcons. Junior Kyle Williams (Fairfield, Conn.) was the team-leader with 13 points scored and senior Anthony Lewis (Lodi, Calif.) ended his afternoon with 11 points.

UMFK was paced by the offensive output from four different student-athletes to finish with double-figures. Senior Patrick Pauwels (Mission Viejo, Calif.) was the game-high scorer with 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor. Junior Mekhi Foreman (Pendleton, Ore.) knocked down three three-point attempts on his way to 13 points and classmate Phillip Webb (Cayman Islands) chipped in with 12 points. Rounding out the group of four was sophomore Zeke McMurtry (Jackson, Miss.), who added 10 points and nine rebounds in a reserve effort for the Bengals.

Fisher will have a few days off before resuming action on Wednesday night as they travel to Pine Manor College for a 6pm contest. Maine-Fort Kent will conclude their 2019-2020 regular season with a senior night game on Tuesday against the University of Maine-Presque Isle. Game time is slated for 7pm in Fort Kent, Maine.
