Men's Basketball: Falcons fall at PSU-Schuylkill, 97-92

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, PA. – For the second time in less than 24 hours, the Fisher College Men's Basketball team fell to the Pennsylvania State University – Schuylkill this afternoon by a 97-92 final. The loss sends the Falcons to 0-3 to begin the young season while the Nittany Lions improve to 2-4.

Freshman Ke'Andre Penceal (Coram, N.Y.) was a dominate force this afternoon as he finished the game with the team-high of 32 points on 11-of-23 shooting from the floor. The rookie also collected eight rebounds, team-high, and dished out two assists in the loss. Sophomore Kyle Butler-Gaffney (Liverpool, N.Y.) came off the bench to provide a spark as he shot 6-for-8 on his way to 15 points while picking up six steals. Junior Johnny Ortiz (Boston, Mass.) and senior Tanner Hoffman (Scottsdale, Ariz.) each added 12 point apiece in a reserve effort for the Falcons.

Penn State – Schuylkill was paced by the double-double effort from sophomore Wilvens Fleuizard (Tamarac, Fla.), who finished the afternoon with a game-high 38 points while shooting 14-for-20 from the floor and pulling down 13 rebounds. Junior Lamonttea Brown (Baltimore, Md.) was 6-for-7 from the field as he finished with 15 points and six steals with freshman Joshua Morrison (Hamilton, N.J.) contributed 11 points off the bench in the win for the Nittany Lions.

Both programs will return to action on Tuesday evening. The Falcons will travel down to Fairfield, Connecticut for a 7pm contest at NCAA Division I opponent Sacred Heart University. PSU-Schuylkill, meanwhile, will host PSU-Wilkes-Barre in an 8pm affair.
