Men's Basketball: Falcons edged out by PSU-Schuylkill, 96-93

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, PA. – The Fisher College Men's Basketball team suffered a tough 96-93 defeat this evening on the road against Pennsylvania State University – Schuylkill in their first contest of the season against a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) opponent. The Falcons are now 0-3 in the young season while the Nittany Lions improve to 1-4. Both schools are members of the NAIA's Continental Athletic Conference.

Senior Chris Lennear (Sacramento, Calif.) exploded for 28 points as the veteran shot 13-for-19 from the field while pulling down eight rebounds. Freshman Ke'Andre Penceal (Coram, N.Y.) finished one point behind Lennear as he totaled 27 points with six rebounds and four assists. Also contributing a 20+ point effort was senior Tanner Hoffman (Scottsdale, Ariz.), who ended his evening with 21 points, eight rebounds and five steals.

PSU-Schuylkill saw sophomore Wilvens Fleuizard (Tamarac, Fla.) net the game-high 31 points in the team's first win of the season. Freshman Dashawn Dixon (Baltimore, Md.) registered the games only double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds while senior Devin King (Baltimore, Md.) added in 15 points of his own. Junior Ryan Worrell (Leesport, Pa.) chipped in with 14 points in a reserve effort for the Nittany Lions.

Both programs will be back on the floor against each other tomorrow afternoon. Game time is set for 12pm.
