Men's Basketball: Falcons pickup win over UMFK

BROOKLINE, MASS. – The Fisher College Men's Basketball team picked up a much needed victory this evening at home as they defeated former Sunrise Conference foe, the University of Maine-Fort Kent 85-72. The win lifts the Falcons to a 6-11 overall record while the Bengals fall to 2-19.

Freshman Ke'Andre Penceal (Coram, N.Y.) paced the offensive effort as he knocked down 9-of-14 from the floor and finished with a game-high 19 points. Juniors Josiah Patton (Hopkinsville, Ky.) and Goddy Marc (West Orange, N.J.) each finished with 14 points and freshman Rameon Witt Jr. (Calabasas, Calif.) totaled 10 points in his season debut. Penceal was also the team's leading rebounder as he collected eight rebounds while junior Johnny Ortiz (Boston, Mass.) dished out six assists in the win.

Maine-Fort Kent saw freshman Jordan Guerreo (Miami, Fla.) match Penceal for the game-high with 19 points as he was 7-for-16 shooting from the floor. Senior Troy Williams II (La Grande, Ore.) added 13 points and five assists with freshman Aiden Grady (Portland, Ore.) and senior Brandon Ruaro (Sacramento, Calif.) chipping in with 12 and 11 point efforts, respectively. Sophomore Daniel Franz (Stuttgart, Germany) was the game's leading rebounder as he pulled down 12 boards in the loss for the Bengals.

Fisher will be back on the court this Thursday evening as they travel to Paxton, Mass. for a 7pm tip with Anna Maria College. Maine-Fort Kent will remain on the road as they head west to Canton, New York for their own 7pm game on Thursday night at SUNY-Canton.
