Men's Basketball: Penceal joins 1000-point club in win over ENC

BROOKLINE, MASS. – Junior Ke'Andre Penceal (Coram, N.Y.) scored his 1,000th career point as the Fisher College Men's Basketball team defeated visiting Eastern Nazarene College, 110-93 this evening inside the Pappas Gymnasium. The Falcons are now 3-2 overall on the season while the Lions fall to

Penceal netted career points 999 and 1000 after the buzzer sounded to end the first half as he was fouled as time expired. The two made free throws places him in elite company within the Falcon Basketball program. He is just the 8th member of the 1000-point club and the first to join since Kyle Holmes in 2017.

The New York native finished the win over Eastern Nazarene with 20 points on 6-of-16 shooting from the floor while collecting eight rebounds. Senior Dakota Gillespie (El Paso, Texas) recorded a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds, both team-highs. In total, seven of the eight-man rotation for the Falcons finished in double-figures scoring.

Eastern Nazarene saw freshman Martinie Kamga (Yaounde, Cameroon) come off the bench and lead the team with 22 points and a game-high 17 rebounds. The first-year student-athlete was 10-for-13 from the field with 11 of his rebounds on the defensive end. Junior Darrell Hodge (Hialeah, Fla.) finished with 21 points while classmates Elijah Bishop (St. Louis, Mo.) and Sammuel Prosper (Hyde Park, Mass.) chipped in with 15 and 14 points, respectively.

Fisher will return to the court on Friday night as they travel up to Maine Maritime for a 7pm contest. The Lions, meanwhile, will travel to Lasell University on Thursday night for another non-conference affair.
