BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Fisher College Men's Basketball team dropped a contest this afternoon to host Villa Maria College, 82-94. With the loss the Falcons start their season with an overall record of 0-1. Villa Maria rises to 1-0.
Senior Ke'Andre Penceal (Coram, N.Y.) led the offensive effort for the Falcons as he totaled 18 points over his 37 minutes of play. Sophomore Tyrek Simmons (Boston, Mass.) pulled down 8 rebounds while adding 6 points. Diego Sharp (Albuquerque, N.M.) and Anthony Douglas Jr. (East Hartford, Conn.) also chipped in with 14 points and 5 rebounds in the loss for Fisher.
Villa Maria was paced by senior Juston Johnson (Buffalo, N.Y.) with 35 points and senior Nolan Shepherd (Buffalo, N.Y.) provided help with 17 points. Junior Jeremiah Clark (Dallas, Ga.) contributed with 14 rebounds and 7 points. While Shepherd chipped in with 12 rebounds in the win for the Vikings.
Fisher will be back in action tomorrow for a 2 pm tilt against the hosting Bryant & Stratton (Rochester). Villa Maria will be hosting Washington Adventist University and Cheyney University for their Bobcat Bash tournament with an 8pm tip-off.
