REGIS, MASS. – Fisher College picked up their first win of the season in impressive fashion, defeating Curry College 99-80. The victory improves the Falcons' record to 1-4, while Curry drops to 0-3.
Senior Laddis Taylor (Edgewater Park, N.J.) led the way with 22 points in just 25 minutes of play. Sophomore Tyrek Simmons (Boston, Mass.) made a significant impact, adding 16 points and pulling down 13 rebounds. Senior Ke'Andre Penceal (Coram, N.Y.) also contributed to the win for the Falcons with 17 points and 8 rebounds.
Curry's top scorer was junior Derrik Thomas (Fitchburg, Mass.), who registered 16 points. Sophomore Edube Agbaji (Toronto, Ontario) and junior Shawn Charles (Vero Beach, Fla.) each grabbed 4 rebounds. Freshman Jaiden Mann (Marietta, Ga.) also had a solid performance, scoring 11 points.
Fisher will return to action on Wednesday, Nov. 20, when they travel to UMass Lowell for a 3 p.m. tip-off at the Costello Athletic Center. Curry will face Salve Regina College in Newport, RI, at 7 p.m. on the same day.
