PRESQUE ISLE, MAINE – The Fisher College Men's Basketball team fell to the University of Maine Presque Isle, 104-85. The loss drops the Falcons to 3-6 on the season, while the Owls improve to 6-3.
Senior Ke'Andre Penceal (Coram, N.Y.) led the Falcons with a strong double-double performance, scoring 18 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Junior Isaiah Quinteros (Miami, Fla.) contributed 12 points, and senior Laddis Taylor (Edgewater Park, N.J.) added 11 points and 7 rebounds to help Fisher's effort.
For UMPI, senior Charlie Mellick (Canberra, Australia) led all scorers with 17 points. Sophomore Saquan Carswell (Spring Hill, Fla.) pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the Owls on the glass, while senior Gilbert Jean (Clearwater, Fla.) and Akhe McMichael each had solid outings, contributing 16 and 15 points, respectively.
Fisher will look to bounce back when they travel to University of Maine Fort Kent on tomorrow, December 8th for a 12 p.m. tip-off. UMPI will next face Husson University on December 13th at 7:30 p.m.
