LYNDONVILLE, VT – A pair of second half goals leads the Fisher College Men's Soccer team to a clean sheet, 2-0 victory at Northern Vermont University – Lyndon this afternoon. The win brings the Falcons to an even .500 on the season at 1-1 while the Hornet fall in their season opener and are now 0-1.

After playing a scoreless opening 45 minutes, the Falcons made some adjustments in the locker room and broke through in the second half. Sophomore Juan Pablo Villalobos (El Paso, Texas) capitalized on a cross from junior Christian Millan (El Paso, Texas) in the 66th minute, which was the eventual game-winner. Three minutes later, the Falcons added a key insurance goal as senior Andres Caceres (Bogota, Columbia) netted his first of the season as he turned and fired a shot from just outside the box to account for all of the scoring.

Senior Rafael Fabra (Sao Paolo, Brazil) recorded his first career victory in net, a one-save shutout, as the Falcon defensive unit held the Hornets to just two total shots. NVU-Lyndon goalkeeper Brett Roy took the tough loss as he made ten saves on the afternoon. Fisher held the advantage in shots (25-2) and corners (11-1).

The Falcons will remain in the Green Mountain state for their next contest tomorrow at Vermont Tech. Game time is set for 12pm.
