Men's Soccer: Falcons come up short at Southern Maine

GORHAM, MAINE -  The Fisher College Men's Soccer team lost the contest against University of Southern Maine this evening, 1-0 at Hannaford Field. The loss sends the Falcons to 2-8-1. University of Southern Maine will slide to 3-4-3.

The offensive effort for the Falcon's was led by sophomore Drake Hampton (Queen Creek, Ariz.) and Juan Pablo Villalobos (El Paso, TX) who had 2 shot attempts each. Fisher's defense was paced by sophomore Mario Iglesias (San Juan, Puerto Rico) with 9 saves in his 90 minutes of play.

The University of Southern Maine's only goal of the game was made by senior Noah Perry (Waterboro, Maine) assisted by senior Zekariya Shaib (Portland, Maine). The defensive effort was led by senior goalkeeper Hayes Estrella (Kennebunk, Maine) with 2 saves in his 90 minutes of play.

Both teams will be back in action when they return to the field this week. Fisher will be traveling to Takoma Park, MD to play Washington Adventist on Sunday for a 3pm start. University of Southern Maine will be hosting Emmanuel College on Saturday at noon.
