Men's Soccer: Villalobos, Falcons top UMPI 2-1

MEDFORD, MASS. - The Fisher College Men's Soccer team won the contest over the visiting University of Maine at Presque Isle this afternoon, 2-1 at Hormel Stadium. The victory sends the Falcons to 2-7-1. UMPI will slide to 2-5-2.

The offensive effort for the Falcon's was set by sophomore Drake Hampton (Queen Creek, Ariz.) who had the team's first goal in the 41st minute. The winning goal was made by junior Juan Pablo Villalobos (El Paso, TX) in the 73rd minute. Fisher's defense was paced by senior Rafael Fabra (Sao Paulo, Brazil) with 5 saves in his 90 minutes of play.

University of Maine at Presque Isle's only goal was made by sophomore Diego Vega (Chicago, Illinois) assisted by sophomore Matthew Bayonne (Michigan City, IN). The defensive effort was set by freshman Xavier McAttee (Presque Isle, Me) with 12 saves in his 90 minutes of play.

Both teams will be back in action when they return to the field this week. Fisher will travel to Southern Maine University on Thursday for a 7pm start. The University of Maine-Presque Isle will be traveling to Suny Canton on Saturday with an 11am start.
