Men's Soccer: Hampton, Falcons bested by Berkeley (N.J.)

MEDFORD, MASS. - The Fisher College Men's Soccer team dropped a contest this afternoon to Berkeley College, 2-1 at Hormel Stadium. The loss sends the Falcons to 1-6-1 for an overall record. Berkeley slides to 8-0-1.

The defensive effort for the Falcons was led by senior goalkeeper Rafael Fabra (Sao Paulo, Brazil) with 8 saves in his 90 minutes of play. The offensive effort was paced by sophomore Drake Hampton (Queen Creek, Ariz.) having the only goal for Fisher assisted junior Juan Pablo Villalobos (El Paso, TX).

Berkeley College offense started with a goal in the 17th minute by freshman Alex Davidson (Spanish Town, Jamaica). The momentum continued with the team's second goal by senior Esteban Pedrueza (Tandil, Argentina). The defensive pace was set by sophomore goalkeeper Dawid Mroz (Old Bridge, NJ) with 3 saves in the win for the Knights.

Both teams will be back in action when they return to the field this week. Fisher will be traveling to West Hartford, CT to face St. Joseph University on Wednesday for a 6pm start. Berkeley will be hosting College of Saint Elizabeth on Tuesday at 3pm.
