DUDLEY, MASS. - The Fisher College Men's Soccer team dropped a contest this evening to Nichols College, 6-1. The loss sends the Falcons to 0-1 for an overall record. Nichols will start their season 1-0.

Fisher's defensive effort was led by senior goalkeeper Rafael Fabra (Sao Paulo, Brazil) with 16 saves in his 90 minutes of play. Although the Falcon's offense was slow, senior Akil Frank (Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago) would score the only goal of the game at the 85th minute.

Nichols offense started the game off strong with a goal in the first minute by sophomore William Savage (Millbury, Mass.). Following him was a goal by sophomore Nathan Salamon (West Springfield, Mass.) with the team's second goal. Savage had the team's third goal as well in the 20th minute giving the Bison a 3-0 lead going into the second half. Senior Nikolas Padilla (Worcestor, Mass.), sophomore Fernando Barranco (Haverhill, Mass.), and senior Jon Christy (Plantsville, Conn.) each had a goal in the second half to give the Bison the win.

Both teams will be back in action this week. Fisher will host Lasell University at Hormel Stadium on Tuesday with an 8:30pm start time. Nichols will travel to Western Connecticut State on Saturday for a 4:30pm start.
