M Volleyball: Garcia, Falcons tripped up at Dean

FRANKLIN, MASS. - The Fisher College Men's Volleyball team dropped a contest this afternoon to Dean College, 3-1 inside the Pieri Gymnasium with scores of 25-13, 23-25, 25-13, and 25-18. The loss sends the Falcons to 0-3 for an overall record. Dean rises to 1-2.

Sophomore Carlos Egipcoaco (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) paced the offensive attack for the Falcons with 10 kills and senior Gustavo Cruz (Humacao, Puerto Rico) followed with 8 kills. Egipcoaco also added 10 digs and 2 assists. Freshman Kieza-Tre Walker (Honokaa, Hawaii) added 1 kill and had 10 digs. Freshman Carlos Diaz (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) had 1 kill, 10 assists, and 4 service ace points in the loss.

Dean's offensive effort was led by senior Tyler Martins (East Providence, RI) with 13 kills while also dishing out 13 assists and collecting 15 digs. Sophomore Nunu Jackson (Fresno, Calif.) added 9 kills and added 4 digs. First-year Hunter Armitage (Westerly, RI) contributed 6 kills, 21 assists, and 5 digs while junior Aaron Fronseca (Cranston, RI) also chipped in with 14 digs in the win for the Bulldogs.

Both teams will be back in action when they return to the court this Saturday. Fisher will travel to Colby-Sawyer College to play Emmanuel College with a 1pm start. Dean will be hosting Northern Vermont University-Johnson with an 11am start and then King's College at 3pm.
