M Volleyball: Falcons come up short at Colby-Sawyer

NEW LONDON, N.H. - The Fisher College Men's Volleyball team dropped a contest this evening to Colby-Sawyer College, 3-0 with scores of 25-15, 28-26, and 25-21. The loss sends the Falcons to 0-12 for an overall record. Colby-Sawyer rises to 3-15.

Senior Rafael Fabra (Soa Paulo, Brazil) paced the offensive attack for the Falcons with 6 kills and senior Gustavo Cruz (Humacao, Puerto Rico) followed with 3 kills, 3 assists, and 6 digs. Freshman Kieza-Tre Walker (Honokaa, Hawaii) collected 9 digs. Sophomore Eduardo Navarro (Tucson, Ariz.) dished out 7 assists and grabbed 7 digs while freshman Carlos Diaz (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) added 10 digs in the loss.

Colby-Sawyer was paced by sophomore Isaac Davies (Hinesburg, VT) with 19 kills and 10 digs. Junior Austin Ponsness (Queen Creek, Ariz.) followed with 12 kills and 6 digs. Senior Phu Ngo (Everett, Mass.) contributed 3 kills and 10 digs while first-year setter CJ Murphy (Sudbury, Mass.) chipped in with 32 assists and 4 service ace points in the win.

Fisher will not be back in action until they return to the court April 6th for their final game of the season at Emerson with a 6pm start. Colby-Sawyer will travel to Chicopee, Mass. to face Elms College also on Thursday at 6pm.
