M Volleyball: Falcons stumble at Merrimack

NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. - The Fisher College Men's Volleyball team dropped a contest this evening to Merrimack College, 3-0 with scores of 25-8, 28-7, and 25-8. The loss sends the Falcons to 0-3 for an overall record. Merrimack rises to 5-3.

Freshman Kieza-Tre Walker (Honokaa, Hawaii) and sophomore Geovanni Baugh (Copiague, NY) paced the offensive attack for the Falcons with 1 kill a piece. Walker also collected 3 digs. Sophomore Carlos Egipcoaco (Guayabo, Puerto Rico) collected a dig while Sophomore Eduardo Navarro (Tucson, Ariz.) grabbed 2 digs and a service ace point in the loss.

Merrimack was paced by sophomore Sage Gatling (Hartford, CT) with 7 kills and 5 service ace points. Freshman Logan Whitaker (West Palm Beach, Fla.) followed with 6 kills and 4 service ace points. Freshman Kyle Wagner (Orland Park, IL) collected 5 digs while first-year setter CJ Murphy (Sudbury, Mass.) chipped in with 28 assists and 3 service ace points in the win.

Fisher will not be back in action until they return to the court Wednesday when they travel to Dean College with a 6:30 start. Merrimack will also be traveling on Wednesday to Harvard University starting at 7pm.
