Lady Falcons fall to Truett McConnell

CLEVELAND, Ga. (TMSports) – The Truett-McConnell College Lady Bears Softball Team swept Fisher College in their four game series home opener, February 22-23.

"It was great to pick up four wins over the weekend," said head coach Jenni Shepard. "The girls have been working hard in practice and this weekend it paid off."

TMC Sophomore pitcher, Harlee Grogan, picked up her first win of the season along with her first ever career no hitter while striking out 14, putting herself  second in TMC Softball records for strikeouts in a game. The current record is held by pitching coach, Megan Fulcher, who earned 15 strikeouts against Southern Wesleyan University in 2010.
 
Rachel Crump, who also pitched for the Lady Bears this weekend, picked up a second win on the mound for the Lady Bears.
 
Offensively for the series, Brittany Gee was 6/13 with 8 RBIs, Jen Donalson was 7/13 with 8 RBIs, Brianna Crawford was 8/11 with 4 RBI's and Rebecca Creswell was 7/10 with 7 RBIs.
 
The Lady Bears will take on Southern Wesleyan University in a double header, Tuesday, February 25, at 5 and 7 p.m. For more info, see tmcbears.com.
