Lady Falcons Shot Down by Thomas College

Boston, MA -- The Lady Falcons dropped a non-conference doubleheader against Thomas College Wednesday night at Breed Field in Lynn, MA.  Fisher fell 14-0 in game one before suffering a 21-10 defeat in game two.

Victoria Park (Lynn, MA) took the loss in game one for Fisher after going just 1+ inning.  Park allowed 14 runs (11 earned) on six hits and 11 walks.  Jayla Vega (Hoboken, NJ) pitched well in relief, holding Thomas scoreless for four innings.

Vega suffered defeat in game two after pitching seven innings.  Vega allowed 21 runs but only three were earned.  the righty gave up 16 hits and seven walks but managed to strikeout six.

The Lady Falcons were paced offensively by Morgan Selmi (Rohnert Park, CA), Kristina Brown (Dixon, CA) and Emily Smith (Oxford, NY).  Selmi finished a combined 3 for 5 with a triple, three runs scored and two RBIs.  Brown, who currently leads the NAIA in batting average, went 4 for 6 with three runs scored and one RBI.  Smith was 3 for 5 with one RBI.

Fisher returns to action Friday afternoon when they travel to Chestnut Hill, MA to face off against Pine Manor College. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00pm.
