Lady Falcons Fall to New England College

Henniker, NH – The Lady Falcons of Fisher College saw their season come to end after losing both ends on a NAIA-NCAA crossover doubleheader at New England College Thursday afternoon. The Lady Falcons fell in the opener 11-10 before dropping the night cap 19-14.

Sophomore Jayla Vega (Hoboken, NJ) suffered defeat in game on after going six innings. Vega allowed 11 runs but only one was earned as Fisher committed six errors on the day.  Vega gave up eight hits and six walks while striking out one.

Freshman Victoria Park (Lynn, MA) took the loss in game two, pitching just one inning. Park allowed six runs (two earned) on three hits and three walks.

Offensively the Falcons were paced Vega, Kristina Brown (Dixon, CA), Christine Briggs (Rumford, ME) and Morgan Selmi (Rohnert Park, CA).  Vega finished 6 for 10 on the day with 2 runs batted in, four runs scored and a stolen base.  Brown went 4 for 8 with four runs batted in, four run scored and a double.

Briggs, a sophomore, was 5 for 8 with 3 runs batted in, four runs scored and a double. Selmi finished 5 for 6 included her first career home run in game two.  The freshman ended the day with six runs batted in and four runs scored.

The Lady Falcons close out the regular season with an 11-24 record.
