NASHUA, N.H. – The Fisher College Softball team suffered a pair of losses this evening on the road at Rivier University. The Falcons dropped the double-header by scores of 20-0 and 22-4 as they fall to 0-18 on the season. The Raiders, meanwhile, improve to 10-16 with the victories.

Game One – Rivier University 20, Fisher College 0 (Final/5 inn.)

Junior Madison Kelley (Moosup, Conn.) spoiled the perfect game bid with a two-single in the fourth as the Falcons fell to the Raiders in the opener, 20-0. Kelley's single was the lone hit for Fisher while freshman Nayleemar Montalvo (Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico) also reached base with a two-out walk in the fifth. Kelley also pitched her seventh complete game of the season as she spun four innings inside the circle, surrendering twenty runs (fifteen earned) on nine hits while striking out five.

Rivier junior starter Nicole Verrette (Haverhill, Mass.) was near perfect inside the circle as she improved to 4-8 on the season. The right-hander struck out six over three innings of work without allowing a hit or issuing a free pass. Freshman Courtney Marioles (Hudson, N.H.) then retired five by way of the K in her two innings of one-hit ball.

Offensively, the Raiders were paced by senior Nicole Capra (Windham, N.H.), who went 2-for-2 with 4 RBI from the leadoff spot. Freshman Sarah Frazier (Londonderry, N.H.) was 2-for-3 with three RBI and Olivia Boucher added her own three RBI night as she was 1-for-3.

Game Two – Rivier University 22, Fisher College 4 (Final/5 inn.)

The Falcons scored a run and the second and three more in third however it was not enough as the Raiders took the nightcap, 22-4.

Junior Letty Chavez-Rendon (Chicago, Ill.) was 2-for-2 with a RBI, including a triple down the right field line, to help pace the offensive attack in game two. Senior Shaniah Hazard (Providence, R.I.) also smashed a triple as she finished 1-for-2 with two RBI. Kelley also registered a base knock as she extends her hitting streak to four games. Chavez-Rendon pitched well despite her stat line as she falls to 0-7 on the year. The right-hander allowed 22 runs with only nine earned over her four innings of work.

For the Raiders, freshman Emma Langer (Palatine, Ill.) improved to 3-1 as she tossed a complete game giving up four runs (two earned) on four hits while striking out four and was 2-for-3 with three RBI at the plate. Junior Katherine Quinn (Salem, N.H.) went a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI and senior Sarah McCluskey (Lowell, Mass.) added her own four hit night in the win for Rivier. Sophomore Amanda Atkinson (Mason, N.H.) chipped in with four RBI on her 1-for-5 evening while freshman Giavanna Allsop (Bedford, N.H.) was 3-for-3 in the contest.
