GWINNETT, GA. – The Continental Athletic Conference announced earlier this morning that Fisher College senior Madison Kelley (Moosup, Conn.) was selected as the CAC Softball Pitcher of the Week. This is the first time that a member of the Fisher Softball program has been bestowed with the conference Pitcher or Hitter of the Week honor since Mikayla Zimmerman was chosen on April 4, 2017 as the conference's hitter of the week.

Kelley was near perfect in the team's 19-0 win over Word of Life Bible Institute this past Wednesday. The right-hander struck out 10 batters without allowing a hit for her first career victory inside the circle. The Connecticut native faced just three over the minimum in the mercy-rule shortened contest as she issued two walks and hit a batter on just 88 pitches thrown.

In her second start of the week, Kelley allowed just three earned runs in a 10-0 defeat against Anna Maria College. In that contest, she surrendered 10 hits while walking three. For the week, Kelley tossed 10.1 innings, allowing just those three earned runs for a 2.61 ERA while striking out 10 and walking five batters.
