Walsh University runs all over Fisher in 104-40 rout

North Canton, OH - Walsh University defeated Fisher College by a score of 104-40 in the first of five games at the Hoops 4 Healing Classic at Alumni Arena. The Cavaliers remain unbeaten in the AMC with a 3-0 record and improve to 4-3 overall. Fisher remains winless on the season with a 0-12 mark and 0-5 in the conference.

The Cavs led from start-to-finish and coasted to a 31-point halftime lead and shot 50 percent from the field in the first half.

The Falcons were paced by Javanna Bernard (Waterbury, CT) with 15 points on 5-20 shooting, including 4-9 from behind the arc.  Senior Amanda Davis chipped in with 7 points and 7 rebounds.

Walsh had six players in double figures and were led by Maggie Berry (Cleveland, OH) and Tara Gallupe (Pittsburgh, PA) with 15 points. Berry shot 6-of-10 from the field, including three 3-pointers. Gallupe was 5-of-9 from the field.

Maria Tomlinson (Portage, MI) recorded a double-double with 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting and 10 rebounds. Also scoring in double figures were Tracy Payne (Danville, OH) with 13 points, Daniella Ciccarone (Quakertown, PA/) with 12 points, and Kristi Yoder (Millersburg, OH) with 10 points.

Fisher will return to action Sunday when they travel to Wilberforce to complete their American Mideast weekend in Ohio.
