Falcons fall to Bulldogs 76-61

LYNN, MASS. -- The Fisher College women's basketball team falls to 9-13 on the season as they fall to the Dean College Bulldogs on Thursday evening at the Fecteau-Leary Gymnasium.  The Bulldogs improve to 16-7 with their 76-61 victory over the Falcons.

The Bulldogs took the initial lead of the game 3-0, but Madison Carroll netted a three pointer to tie the game.  Skylar Robinson added another shot from behind the arc to put the Falcons up 6-3 over Dean.  Aliyanah McIntosh kept the Fisher lead going hitting another three to put Fisher up 14-10 over the Bulldogs.  

Dean's Chelsea Johnson hit back-to-back three point shots to go up 16-14 over Fisher.  Madison Carroll rebuttled with a three to put the Falcons back up 17-16.  The Bulldogs ended the 1st quarter with a 22-20 lead over the Falcons.

The 2nd quarter was dominated by Dean outscoring the Falcons 17-6 with the halftime score totaling a 39-26 in favor of the Bulldogs.

After the short break, the Falcons put all they had on the court to win the 3rd quarter 16-13.  Fisher was chasing 10 points heading into the 4th quarter.

The Falcons kept battling in the 4th quarter, but it wasn't enough to take the game from the Bulldogs finalizing the victory 76-61.  

Robinson paced the Falcons with 16 points and 5 rebounds.  Other key players were Madison Carroll (14 points) and McIntosh (13 points, 4 rebounds). 

Dean and Fisher met twice this season with Dean taking both games from the Falcons.

Fisher will return to action on Saturday, February 4 when they play host to the University of Maine at Presque Isle.  Tip-off is slated for 1:00 p.m. in Lynn, Mass. at the Fecteau-Leary Gymnasium.
