
Lynn, Mass. – The women's basketball team took a massive victory from Pratt Institute on Saturday, December 9. The Falcons improve to above .500 with a 6-5 record on the season after their 82-33 victory.
Pratt took a 1-0 lead, but Murphy Carroll hit a 3-pointer to take a 3-1 lead over the Pioneers. Madison Carroll then hit a layup to give the Falcons a 5-1 lead. Fisher then went on a 12-4 run to take a 17-8 lead heading into the first break of the game.
Jameela Olivo hit the first basket of the second quarter to give the Falcons a 19-8 lead over the Pioneers. Fisher continued their offensive output, taking a 46-13 heading into halftime.
Fisher continued to dominate in the second half outscoring Pratt 36-20 to secure an 82-33 victory.
Murphy Carroll had a game high 22 points to lead the Falcons to their victory while grabbing seven rebounds. Choon-Hee Chae helped with 15 points and four rebounds. Madison Carroll (11 points, 3 rebounds) and Olivo (12 points, 10 rebounds) were amongst the key players for the Falcons in the victory.
Fisher will take on the Penn College Wildcats Sunday, December 10 at 3:00 p.m. in the Fecteau-Leary Gymnasium in Lynn, Mass. This game will be the second game of a men and women's double header.
