Women's Basketball: Kelley's double-double lifts Falcons to win over Rivier

NASHUA, N.H. – Five different members of the Fisher College Women's Basketball team finished in double-figures this evening as the Falcons earned their fifth straight win, an 81-57 triumph over Rivier University inside the Muldoon Gymnasium. The win bolsters the Falcons record to 13-11 on the season while the Raiders fall to 4-15 overall.

Senior Vivian Lara (Norwalk, Calif.) shot 5-for-12 from beyond the arc to lead the team with 17 points scored. Matching Lara for the game-high with 17 points was sophomore Shaniah Hazard (Providence, R.I.), who was 7-for-9 from the floor. Junior Jennifer Rosales (Morgan Hill, Calif.) finished her night with 11 points while sophomore Misha O'Neal (Tampa, Fla.) collected 10 points. Freshman Madison Kelley (Moosup, Conn.) recorded her first career and the games only double-double as she finished with 10 points and 12 rebounds over her 36 minutes of action in the win.

Rivier was paced by freshman Arianna Motivala (Nashua, N.H.) as she finished with the team-high of 14 points scored on 6-of-11 shooting from the floor. Classmate Heather Ries (Mont Vernon, N.H.) added 13 points, including drilling three 3-pointers, and fellow freshman Jaden Smith (Nashua, N.H.) added 11 points off the bench in the loss. Sophomore Alexandra Grumblatt (Manchester, N.H.) pulled down 15 rebounds for her 16th double-digit rebound game of the season.

The Falcons are set to return to action on Friday evening as they welcome Pine Manor College inside the friendly confines of the Fecteau-Leary Gymnasium for a 5pm affair. Rivier will be in conference action as they host Albertus Magnus College on Saturday afternoon in a 1pm tip.
