Women's Basketball: Falcons fall in weekend finale at Babson

BABSON PARK, MASS. – The Fisher College Women's Basketball team fell this afternoon to Babson College, 70-35 in the weekend finale between the two programs. The Falcons are now 0-2 on the season while the Beavers improve to 2-0.

Junior Misha O'Neal (Tampa, Fla.) was once again the team leader with 12 points and dishing out five assists and collecting five rebounds. Classmate Shaniah Hazard (Providence, R.I.) added eight points and seven rebounds while junior Katie Salas (Placentia, Calif.) pulled down the team-high of nine rebounds.

Babson was paced by sophomore Samantha Smith (Greenfield, Mass.), who totaled the game-high of 20 points on 9-of-17 shooting from the floor. Senior Katie Jones (Ridgewood, N.J.) and freshman Kelly Walsh (Goffstown, N.H.) each added 11 points while senior Nicole Heller (Rocky Hill, Conn.) scooped up 11 rebounds.

Fisher will look to rebound next weekend with a trip to Northern Vermont University-Johnson. Game time is set for 3pm. Babson will travel to the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth on February 10th in their next scheduled contest.
