Women's Basketball: Falcons fly past New England College, 66-54

HENNIKER, N.H. – The Fisher College Women's Basketball team returned to the win column today as they defeated New England College, 66-54. The win lifts the Falcons to an overall record of 3-5 while the Pilgrims fall to 1-5.

Trailing after the opening 10 minutes of action, Fisher bolted out to a 20-point 2nd quarter to take the halftime lead and never looked back.

Junior Misha O'Neal (Tampa, Fla.) led all scorers with a game-high of 23 points, shooting 9-for-14 from the floor. Classmate Shaniah Hazard (Providence, R.I.) chipped in with 12 points and fellow junior Alexia Mason (Inglewood, Calif.) recorded her second double-double in a Fisher uniform with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

New England College saw Ericka Pratt pace the offensive effort with 13 points while also picking up a team-high of eight rebounds. Asia Jones contributed with nine points and four assists and Alissa Corona collected seven rebounds to go along with her nine points in the loss.

The Falcons will return to action on Saturday afternoon as they travel out to Worcester, Massachusetts for a 12pm tip-off at Becker College. The Pilgrims, meanwhile, will host Franklin Pierce University on Thursday, March 18th in their next scheduled contest. Game time is set for 5pm.
