Women's Basketball: Falcons suffer setback at NCAA D1 Brown

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Fisher College Women's Basketball team played their third and final NCAA Division I opponent this afternoon as they fell to Brown University, 90-31. The Falcons are now 3-8 on the season while the Bears climbed to 4-7 on the season with the win.

Three different Falcons each recorded eight points on the afternoon to lead the team, including freshman Jessica D'Amours (Feeding Hills, Mass.) who finished a perfect 4-for-4 at the free throw line along with collecting four rebounds. Senior Shaniah Hazard (Providence. R.I.) and junior Tatiana Bruno (Ridgefield Park, N.J.) were the other two member of the women's basketball team that finished with eight points and senior Alexia Mason (Inglewood, Calif.) corralled five rebounds and three points. Junior Madison Kelley (Moosup, Conn.) also had five rebounds and two points in the loss with freshman Ariana Ramos-Cardona (Isabella, Puerto Rico) totaling the remaining two points and four rebounds for Fisher.

Brown was paced by junior Maddie Mullen (Wellesley, Mass.), who finished with the game-high 18 points off the bench. Sophomore Grace Kirk (Duluth, Minn.) also finished in double-figures with 10 points in a reserve effort while classmate Charlotte Jewel (Alexandria, Va.) totaled 10 points as well.

Fisher will finish out the first-half of the season on Tuesday evening with a trip across the Boston Common for a 7pm contest at Emerson College. Brown, meanwhile, will return to action on December 22 with a home date against Johnson & Wales University (R.I.).
