Women's Basketball: Mason records double-double in loss at BSC-Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Fisher College Women's Basketball team dropped their second game of the two game trip to Western New York this afternoon as they came up short against Bryant & Stratton College-Buffalo, 63-59. The loss moves the Falcons to 3-6 on the season while the Bobcats improve to 7-4.

The game came down to the final seconds with the score 61-59 as a missed three point attempt from the trailing Falcons didn't fall with eight seconds left. BSC-Buffalo then hit the final two free throw attempts to secure the win.

Senior Alexia Mason (Inglewood, Calif.) registered her third double-double of the season as she finished with the game-highs of 19 points and 14 rebounds. Junior Tatiana Bruno (Ridgefield Park, N.J.) added 15 points and senior Misha O'Neal (Tampa, Fla.) chipped in with 13 points and four steals for the Falcons. Senior Naomi Mares (Pueblo, Colo.) was 4-for-9 from the floor to end her afternoon with eight points.

The Bobcats saw junior Oumy Gueye (Thies, Senegal) record her own double-double as she led the team with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Classmate Nia Caver (Buffalo, N.Y.) matched Gueye with 14 points on her own while corralling eight rebounds and senior Alissa Johnson (Lancaster, Pa.) added 11 points in the win.

Fisher will remain on the road in their next scheduled contest as they travel to Hartford, Connecticut for a 7pm game at Trinity College. BSC-Buffalo will travel to Central Penn College next Saturday in their next contest. Game time is set for 12pm.
