Women's Basketball: Mason nets double-double in loss to Emerson

BOSTON, MASS. – The Fisher College Women's Basketball team wrapped up their first semester of action this evening with a 64-57 loss across the common at Emerson College. The loss brings the Falcons overall record to 3-10 while the Lions are now 3-8.

Senior Alexia Mason (Inglewood, Calif.) had a monster game for Fisher as she notched her fourth double-double of the season with 18 points and 17 rebounds. Junior Tatiana Bruno (Ridgefield Park, N.J.) added 14 points and senior Naomi Mares (Pueblo, Colo.) chipped in with 13 points in the setback.

Emerson saw freshman Devin Hill (Edgartown, Mass.) come off the bench and provide a much need spark as she scored the game-high 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the floor. Junior Carla Pelino (San Jose, Calif.) was 5-for-10 on her way to 15 points and sophomore Ava Salti (Melville, N.Y.) finished her night with 10 points for the Lions. Senior Katie Beckmann (Sarasota, Fla.) pulled down the team-high of six rebounds in the win.

Both teams will return to the court in the year 2022 as the Falcons will host Berkeley College (N.Y.) on Friday, January 7. Emerson will travel to Rhode Island College on Saturday, January 8 in their next scheduled contest.
