BROOKLINE, MASS. - The Fisher College Women's Basketball team extended their winning streak to four games this afternoon as they defeated former Sunrise Conference foe, the University of Maine-Fort Kent 69-60 inside the Pappas Gymnasium. The win sends the Falcons to 7-10 overall on the year while the Bengals fall to 0-10.

Senior Naomi Mares (Pueblo, Colo.) knocked down a pair of three-point attempts and finished with 10 points to help support the offensive attack for Fisher. Classmate Misha O'Neal (Tampa, Fla.) led all scorers with 26 points while pulling down a team-high 13 rebounds for her second consecutive double-double. Fellow senior Alexia Mason (Inglewood, Calif.) has been a double-double machine this season as she finished her afternoon with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Senior Shaniah Hazard (Providence, R.I.) also had double-digit rebounds as she collected 12 boards and added seven points in the win.

Maine-Fort Kent saw freshman Arieyle Baker (Lake Wales, Fla.) record the game-high 19 rebounds and scored 13 points to keep the Bengals in the ballgame until the final minutes. Junior Jzane Cavailli-Money (South Sacramento, Calif.) chipped in with 11 points and classmate Hannah Jones (Corona, Calif.) came off the bench to lead the team with 19 point scored in the setback.

Due to the impeding snowstorm rolling in over the weekend, the Falcons game at Penn State-Schuylkill has been postponed and moved to Thursday, February 10. Fisher will return to action next Friday evening with a road contest at Five Towns College in New York. Game time is set for 6pm. UMFK will travel to Bangor, Maine for a 5:30pm game at Husson University on Tuesday evening for their next scheduled contest.
