Women's Basketball: Falcons stumble at BSC-Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Fisher College Women's Basketball team dropped the contest this evening to Bryant & Stratton-Buffalo, 97-18 at Buffalo State Sports Arena. The loss sends the Falcons season to 1-8 for an overall record. Bryant & Stratton rises to 5-0.

Nayleemar Montalvo (Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico) led the offensive effort for the Falcons as she totaled 10 points in her 40 minutes of play. Senior Madison Kelley (Moosup, Conn.) followed with an all around effort of 5 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks. Junior Ladeja Robinson (Boston, Mass.) added 3 points, 3 steals, and 8 rebounds in the loss for the Falcons.

Bryant & Stratton was paced by senior Kat Kanhoye (Queens, N.Y.) with 29 points, 9 rebounds, and 10 steals while junior Armoni Jordan (Lockport, N.Y.) added 14 points. Senior Shannon Bandoo (Bronx, N.Y.) pitched in with 12 points and 10 rebounds while classmate Oumy Gueye (Thies, Senegal) added 11 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Chy Isom (Toledo, Ohio) added 10 points and 17 rebounds in the win for the Bobcats.

Both teams will be back in action when they return to the court this week. Fisher will be traveling to Northern Vermont University-Lyndon on Saturday with a 2pm tip-off. Bryant & Stratton-Buffalo will be headed to face the Bobcats of Bryant & Stratton-Syracuse on Friday with a 4pm start.
