Women's Basketball: Falcons return to action against BSC-Buffalo

BROOKLINE, MASS. - The Fisher College Women's Basketball team dropped a contest this afternoon to the visiting Bryant & Stratton College-Buffalo, 84-25 inside Pappas Gymnasium. The loss sends the Falcons to 1-11 for an overall record. Bryant & Stratton-Buffalo slides to 13-3.

Senior Naomi Mares (Pueblo, Colo.) led the offensive effort for the Falcons as she totaled 13 points over her 40 minutes of play. Senior Madison Kelley (Moosup, Conn.) pulled down 14 rebounds while adding 4 points herself. Sophomore Nayleemar Montalvo (Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico) also chipped in with 8 points and 6 rebounds in the loss for Fisher.

Bryant & Stratton-Buffalo was paced by senior Oumy Gueye (Theis, Senegal) with 21 points and junior Chy Isom (Toledo, Ohio) provided help with 18 points. Isom led the team in rebounds with 16 while Gueye followed with 12. Senior Tamia Tart (Brooklyn, N.Y.) also chipped in with 12 points and 9 rebounds in the win for the Bobcats.

Both teams will be back in action when they return to the court tomorrow afternoon. Fisher will host Lesley University in Brookline, Mass. at noon. Bryant & Stratton-Buffalo will travel to Albany, NY to play Bryant & Stratton-Albany.
