Women's Basketball: Falcons dropped by PSU-Schuylkill

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, PA. - The Fisher College Women's Basketball team dropped the contest this afternoon to Penn State Schuylkill University, 68-28. The loss sends the Falcons to 1-16 for an overall record. Schuylkill rises to 14-7.

Senior Naomi Mares (Pueblo, Colo.) led the offensive effort for the Falcons as she totaled 12 points over her 40 minutes of play. Senior Madison Kelley (Moosup, CT) followed with 9 points and added 11 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 block. Junior Angela Steingrimsdottir (Grindavick, Iceland) added 7 points and 2 steals in the loss for Fisher.

Schuylkill was paced by second-year Tajae Stevenson (Patterson, NJ) with 22 points and third-year Kassidy Ingram (Abington, PA) provided help with 14 points. Stevenson also led the team in rebounds with 10. Second-year Allison Crockett (Liverpool, PA) also chipped in with 13 points while second-year Nadia King (Harrisburg, PA) gave an all around effort with 6 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals, and 5 assists in the win for the Lions.

Both teams will be back in action when they return to the court tomorrow. The NAIA opponents will face each other once again tomorrow in Schuylkill Haven with a 1pm tip-off.
