Women's Basketball: Falcons come up short at PSU-Schuylkill

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, PA. - The Fisher College Women's Basketball team dropped the contest this afternoon to Penn State Schuylkill University, 58-36. The loss sends the Falcons to 1-17 for an overall record. Schuylkill rises to 15-7.

Seniors Naomi Mares (Pueblo, Colo.) and Madison Kelley (Moosup, CT) led the offensive effort for the Falcons as they totaled 13 points a piece over their 40 minutes of play. Junior Angela Steingrimsdottir (Grindavick, Iceland) added 4 points and 4 assists while junior Jada Braggs (Craig, Colo.) and sophomore Nayleemar Montalvo (Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico) each added 3 points. Kelley and Montalvo each had 6 rebounds in the loss for Fisher.

Schuylkill was paced by third-year Kassidy Ingram (Abington, PA) having 16 points in her 24 minutes while second-year Jasmine Wright (Sicklerville, PA) provided help with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Second-year Allison Crockett (Liverpool, PA) also chipped in with 10 points while second-year Nadia King (Harrisburg, PA) gave an all around effort with 9 points, 3 steals, and 6 assists in the win for the Lions.

Both teams will be back in action when they return to the court this week. Fisher will be headed to Quincy, Mass to play Eastern Nazarene on Wednesday with a 7pm tip-off. Penn State Schuylkill will host Penn State Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday with a 7pm start.
