Women's Basketball: Falcons stumble at Eastern Nazarene

QUINCY, MASS. - The Fisher College Women's Basketball team dropped the contest this afternoon to Eastern Nazarene College, 78-54. The loss sends the Falcons to 1-18 for an overall record. Eastern Naz rises to 8-13.

Seniors Naomi Mares (Pueblo, Colo.) led the offensive effort for the Falcons as she totaled 18 points over her 40 minutes of play. Senior Madison Kelley (Moosuo, CT) followed with 17 points, 2 steals and 8 rebounds while sophomore Nayleemar Montalvo (Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico) added 9 points and 9 rebounds. Junior Jada Braggs added 6 points and 10 rebounds while classmate Angela Steingrimsdottir (Grindavick, Iceland) added 4 points and 3 steals in the loss for Fisher.

Eastern Nazarene was paced by sophomore Anaira Ayala (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) having 16 points in her 26 minutes while junior Ashley Quigley (Fields Landing, Calif.) provided help with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Junior Delaney Walker (Nampa, Idaho) and sophomore Ahidali DeHuelbes (Tucson, Ariz.) each added 12 points a piece in the win for the Lions.

Both teams will be back in action when they return to the court this week. Fisher will host Mitchell College on Tuesday at Pappas Gymnasium in Brookline, Mass with a 6pm tip-off. Eastern Nazarene will host New England College on Saturday the 11th with a 1pm start.
