WATERVILLE, MAINE – The Fisher College Women's Basketball team began their second half of the 2023-24 season this afternoon as they fell on the road at Thomas College, 67-49. The loss moves the Falcons to 1-14 overall on the year while the Terriers up their overall record to 5-8.

It was a solid opening 10 minutes of play as the two teams traded baskets with the home team holding the 14-13 edge after one. The second quarter sealed the fate as the Terriers outscored the Falcons, 24-12 and never looked back.

Fisher freshman Tyler Wilkinson (Boston, Mass.) was the offensive leader for the squad as she recorder her career high of 15 points in the loss. The rookie guard was 6-for-15 from the field, including knocking down 3 three-pointers, to account for her performance. Classmate Olivia Hamel (Estes Park, Colo.) continued her stellar campaign with yet another double-double. The 6-foot forward registered 12 points and 13 rebounds. It was Hamel's 4th double-double of the season. Junior Ariana Ramos Cardona (Mayaguez, Puerto Rico) added nine points and seven rebounds for the Falcons.

Thomas was guided by sophomore Hannah Coolen (Unity, Maine), who came off the bench and recorded the team-high of 12 points. Classmate Elena Alderman (Mount Desert Island, Maine) provided additional offensive support with 11 points and senior Samantha Fortin (New Gloucester, Maine) added seven points in the win. Fortin also collected the team-high 12 rebounds in the triumph.

Fisher will remain on the road as they travel to Pennsylvania for a Continental Athletic Conference two-game set with Penn State-Schuylkill. Game one of the two-night affair is scheduled for 6pm on Monday. Thomas will travel to Maine Maritime for a North Atlantic Conference tilt on Tuesday evening in their next scheduled contest.
