Women's Basketball: Robinson's double-double not enough in loss at PSU-Schuylkill

SCHUYLKILL, PA. – For the third consecutive game, the Fisher College Women's Basketball team recorded 49 points however it was not enough as the Falcons fell to Penn State – Schuylkill this evening by a 58-49 final score. The Falcons are now 1-16 on the season with the Nittany Lions increasing their record to 6-9.

Senior Ladaeja Robinson (Boston, Mass.) had her first double-double of the season as she led the Falcons with game-highs of 17 points and 11 rebounds. Freshman Olivia Hamel (Estes Park, Colo.) continues her stellar rookie campaign as she finished with 14 points and nine rebounds. This was Hamel's third straight game with double-digit points.

For the Nittany Lions, freshman Ava Novak (New Media, Pa.) came off the bench and poured in 16 points to lead the team. The first-year guard was 6-for-12 from the floor while also collecting six rebounds. Junior Allison Crockett (Liverpool, Pa.) and sophomore Serena Jones (Tamaqua, Pa.) each added nine points and Jasmine Wright chipped in with eight points for the win.

Fisher will return to New England and the Pappas Gymnasium for their next scheduled contest. The Falcons will host Lesley University on Tuesday, January 16 with a 7pm tipoff. PSU-Schuylkill will host Penn State – Beaver on Friday night at 6pm.
