Women's Basketball: Falcons tripped up by BSC-Buffalo

BROOKLINE, MASS. – The Fisher College Women's Basketball team suffered a 77-46 defeat this afternoon to visiting Bryant & Stratton College – Buffalo. The Falcons are now 1-18 on the season while the Bobcats improve their overall record to 12-5.

Freshman Olivia Hamel (Estes Park, Colo.) continues her impressive rookie season as she finished with another double-double. The 6-foot forward totaled 13 points and collected 13 rebounds to record the game-high in both categories. Junior Ariana Ramos Cardona (Isabella, Puerto Rico) added 10 points off the bench and the duo of senior Ladaeja Robinson (Boston, Mass.) and freshman Aziriah Wilson (Uniontown, Pa.) chipped in with nine points each. Junior Nayleemar Montalvo (Mayaguez, Puerto Rico) provided additional help on the defensive end by scooping up nine rebounds.

BSC-Buffalo saw senior Saige Roberts (Albany, N.Y.) pace the balanced attack. She finished with a team-high 11 points. Juniors Chanice Willis (Champaign, Ill.) and Treanna Blenman (Darlington, S.C.) also reached double-figures with 10 points apiece while senior Chy Isom (Toldeo, Ohio) and classmate Ja'Da White-McConnel (Waukegan, Ill.) totaled the team-high of six rebounds.

Fisher will travel to northern Vermont for their next scheduled contest on Tuesday as they take on Vermont State University – Lyndon in a 7pm contest. BSC-Buffalo will remain on the road as they travel to Cheney University (Pa.) next Saturday afternoon.
