BROOKLINE, MASS. – It was senior day for the Fisher College Women's Basketball team this evening as they honored both Ladaeja Robinson (Boston, Mass.) and J Braggs (Craig, Colo.) prior to the start of the contest against Lesley University. In a tightly contested affair, the Lynx prevailed for the 75-70 win over the Falcons. Fisher is now 1-23 on the season while Lesley earned their first victory and are now 1-21.

It was an even contest through out as the two team enjoyed good offensive nights from the floor. The Falcons saw junior Ariana Ramos Cardona (Isabella, Puerto Rico) come off the bench and record the team-high 22 points while freshman Olivia Hamel (Estes Park, Colo.) notched yet another double-double with 13 points and the game-high 19 rebounds. Robinson finished her home career with 13 points and Braggs totaled six points with four rebounds in the home finale.

Lesley was powered by senior Alexandra Kerley (Boca Raton, Fla.), who had a career night with 37 points and 17 rebounds for her own double-double. The Florida native was 15-for-28 from the floor and 12 of her rebounds were of the defensive kind. Freshman Savanna Gravitt (Richmond Hill, Ga.) added 15 points for the Lynx while junior Hillary Berry (Walpole, N.H.) contributed 11 points to account for the double-digit efforts of the night. This was also the first career coaching victory for first-year Lesley Head Coach Martin Rather.

Both teams will return to action this weekend. Fisher will travel down to the nation's capital for a Continental Athletic Conference contest at Washington Adventist University on Saturday night. Lesley, meanwhile, will travel to Husson University for a North Atlantic Conference contest on Friday night.
