FORT KENT, MAINE – The Fisher College Women's Basketball team was defeated by the University of Maine Fort Kent, with a final score of 85-17. With the loss, the Falcons fall to 0-3, while the Bengals improve to 5-2 on the season.
Senior Olivia Hamel (Estes Park, Colo.) was the leading scorer and rebounder for the Falcons, finishing with 17 points and an impressive 18 rebounds. Sophomore Tyler Wilkinson (Boston, Mass.) contributed 5 points and 5 rebounds while sophomore Isabelle Jean (Weymouth, Mass.) added 4 points in the effort.
For Fort Kent, senior Karolyn Baptiste (Nassau, Bahamas) led the scoring with 18 points, while senior Stellisha Thomas (Providenciales, Turks and Caicos) grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the team in that category. Freshman Cece Bell (Minneapolis, Minn.) and classmate Trinity Yocum (Grangeville, Idaho) both contributed 13 points apiece in the win.
Fisher will be back in action on December 10th, when they host Anna Maria College at Pappas Gymnasium in Brookline, Mass., at 6 p.m. Fort Kent will next face the University of Maine Farmington on December 13th at 5:30 p.m.
