Women's Basketball: Falcons open up second semester at Lasell

NEWTON, MASS. – The Fisher College Women's Basketball team faced a tough challenge against Lasell University, falling 82-34. The loss drops the Falcons to 0-5, while Lasell improves to 5-2 on the season.

Senior Ariana Ramos Cardona (Isabela, Puerto Rico) led the Falcons with 16 points and 8 rebounds in the loss. Senior Olivia Hamel (Estes Park, Colo.) was active on the boards, pulling down 12 rebounds, while also adding 6 points and 3 blocks to the team's effort. Senior Mayouri Yath (Amherst, Mass.) also contributed solid minutes for Fisher attributing 5 points.

For Lasell, junior Kiara Cerruti (Canton, Mass.) led the way with 13 points. Freshman AJ Hyacinth (Revere, Mass.) was a key presence in the paint, grabbing 12 rebounds, and freshman Teagan Clancy (Colonie, N.Y.) added 11 points to the scoring effort in the win.

Fisher will be back in action on Saturday, January 10th, when they travel to Temple Terrace, Fla., to face Spartanburg Methodist University (S.C.). Lasell will return to action hosting Albertus Magnus College on January 11th at 1 p.m.
