Avre Vickers joins the Women’s Basketball staff as Assistant Coach for the 2019-20 season. Vickers will assist the Falcons women's basketball program with skill development, game preparation, scouting, and recruiting.

Since 2009, Vickers has been the owner and head trainer of EoS Sports Performance Training, where he has worked to individually evaluate and train basketball athletes as they prepare for the collegiate and professional levels. During the 2017-18 season, Vickers had a successful year as the Head Boy’s Basketball Coach at YesPrep Southside School in Houston, Texas. Prior to that, Vickers spent two seasons working as an Assistant Coach at Boone High School in Orlando, FL, where he also helped out with the summer league team and summer workouts. Along with coaching and professional training, Vickers has worked multiple years running and organizing youth basketball camps and clinics in Florida and along the east coast.

Vickers holds a degree in Multi Media Journalism from Lynn University (NCAA DII) where he attended and played from 2008-2010. Vickers was highly recruited as a player coming out of high school and signed his National Letter of Intent at Stetson University (NCAA DI), but later transferred to Lynn University. While at Lynn, Vickers was a part of the Sunshine State Conference Championship win, leading the Fighting Knights to spot in the NCAA DII National Tournament.

During Avre’s high school playing career, he was a four-year varsity player. Throughout his tenure, he helped the Braves capture three district championships, two regional championships, two metro titles, and two appearances in the Class 6A state semifinals. Vickers was nominated for the McDonald’s All-American game and selected to play on the Central Florida All-Star game.
