Schojan’s Hat-trick Leads Falcons to 4-1 Victory

Medford, Mass. – Junior forward Julia Schojan reached 66 points on the season after scoring a hat-trick in Fisher College's match against The King's College (N.Y.).  The Falcons defeated the Knights 4-1 to improve to 8-6-2 on the season.

 

Schojan opened the scoring in the 6th minute after senior midfielder Camila Da Silva tapped the ball to Schojan who put the ball in net.  In the 15th minute, TKC rebuttled and got a shot passed the Fisher goalkeeper to knot the game at 1-1.

 

Schojan went for her second goal 10 minutes later deeming successful to push the Falcons up 2-1 over the Knights.  Amanda Santiago added another goal for the Falcons to up the lead to 3-1 on a pass from Holly Lesperance in the 40th minute. 

 

After the break, both teams battled hard allowing only one goal to be scored in the second half.  Schojan scored one more goal to give the Falcons a 4-1 lead in the 81st minute of the game.  The last minutes winded down before the referee blew the final whistle finalizing the game at 4-1.

 

Junior goalkeeper Paige Ciavarro earned the victory for the Falcons in net making 6 saves and allowing only 1 goal.  TKC had two goalies to combine for 9 saves and 4 goals allowed.

 

Fisher will return to the field for one final match on Tuesday, November 1 at 4:00 p.m.  They will play host to Pine Manor College at Hormel Stadium in Medford, Mass.  Before the match-up, the team will recognize the senior Falcons.
