Women's Soccer: Dominguez, Falcons tripped up at UMFK

(Fort Kent, Maine) The Fisher College Women's Soccer team dropped the contest this afternoon to Maine Fort Kent, 3-0. The loss sends the Falcons to 1-3 in the season. Me.-Fort Kent slides to 3-0-1.

Fisher's defensive effort was led by sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Leo (Dunmore, Pa) with 9 saves in the 90:00 minutes of playing time she had in the game. Although the offense was slow, sophomore Kelly Wallace (Hanover, Mass.), sophomore Juliette Dominguez (Hesperia, Calif.), and freshman Sophia Graves (Signal Hill, Calif.) were each able to get in one shot in the loss for the Falcon's.

Fort Kent's offense started in the 1st half with senior Angel Maxwell (Campden Park, St. Vincent & The Grenadines) having the first goal with the assist from sophomore Julia Ros Audunsdottir (Hafnarfjordur, Iceland) at the 11th minute. Before the first half ended, the second goal was made by senior Sophia Noe (Sunnyvale, Calif. ). The momentum for the Bengals was continued in the second half with another assist from Audunsdottir to senior Gizela Carranza (Petaluma, Calif.) for the teams third goal in the win for Fort Kent.

Both teams will be back in action on the field tomorrow. Fisher will be up in Maine once again to play Maine Presque Isle at 1pm. Maine Fort Kent will host John Abbott College with an 11am start time.
